Dr. Eugene Dowdy
Conductor and Artistic Director
Retired from the UTSA as professor and chair of the music department; currently Director of Music at Schreiner University.
Barbara Cox

Senior Paralegal for Wayne-Sanderson Farms specializing in contracts. Native Houstonian and earned an MBA at the University of Houston. Member of the Hill Country Chorale.
Roy Bartels

Music Education degree. Former French horn player. Former church organist (15 years – various churches in various cities). 17 years in higher education, most recently at Schreiner University. Retired. A resident of Kerrville since 2010.
Kristin Hedger

Senior vice president for business development for Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing. North Dakota native is Tivy graduate, holds a Master’s Degree from Yale, and is a member of Schreiner Board of Trustees and Advisory Board to U.S. EXIM Bank.

Jenny Mitchell

Former teacher, principal, and administrator in Lawton (OK) Public Schools. Serves on the Kerrville Public School Foundation.

Native Houstonian who graduated from Duke University as a history major, worked 30 years as a realtor, and active volunteer in schools and museums.

Kierin Johnson

Community Director for Emerald Cottages. A passionate supporter of the arts and active board member of the Hill Country Vocal Arts Society since 2018, previously serving as President, Vice-President, and currently as Treasurer, and has been singing with the Hill Country Chorale since 2017.

Owner of Hill Country Audiology Services, and adjunct professor in Schreiner University’s speech pathology program.

Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) from DePauw University. Trombonist and Conductor. New York City native, Hill Country resident since 2023.

Retired engineering professor at Trinity University in San Antonio, with time in the US Army and petrochemical industry.

Board Member
Certified Professional Planner in financial services with JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Executive Director of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.
Dr. Virginia (Gini) Norris Lane
Board Member
Graduate of Baylor University and Austin Presbyterian Seminary. Served in a variety of clerical roles, including 13 years as campus minister at Schreiner University, and as executive director of UKirk, which serves as support to PCUSA campus ministry programs across the nation.
