Dr. Tamara Raatz, Solo
Clarinetist
.
Dr, Raatz joined the Schreiner
University music faculty in the
fall of 2011, where she directs the University
Concert Band and teaches Music History.
Dr. Raatz has a Doctorate from Eastman School of
Music, Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from the
University of Michigan and Bachelor of Music Education
from Baylor University.
Dr.
Raatz joins the Kerrville music community with 18 years
of strong and diversified instrumental music teaching
experience and is an active international performing
artist. She
has appeared as soloist in Vienna, Istanbul, Salzburg,
the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic.
and has recorded new works for clarinet and
orchestra with the Moravian Philharmonic on the Vienna
Modern Masters label.
