The multimillion dollar Cailloux Performing Arts Center in
Kerrville, Texas, was completed in 2003, centered around the the
renovation of the 40-year-old Kerrville Municipal Auditorium.
With only the stage side of the original building being
preserved, the building was entirely redone from the orchestra
pit, through the 830 seats, entrance foyer and facade on Main
Street, with handicapped access throughout.

Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams,
Inc., one of the nation's premier consulting firms, was
responsible for the theater's acoustic consulting and noise
control, as well as for the design of the sound, lighting and
rigging systems. The facility opened in early 2003.
"Playhouse 2000 President Kit Werlein said he was happy so
many could experience the performance in the new
theater...Beyond our expectation was the acoustics and how the
sound was so clear, he said, praising the design of the
theater." -The Daily Times, Kerrville, Texas

The Kathleen C. Cailloux Theater was the first phase of
development that eventually became the Kathleen C. Cailloux City
Center for the Performing Arts. Subsequent phases provided
additional rehearsal space and a costume shop, enabling the
small Washington Street theater to be used for educational
purposes.
